Carbon fiber mesh for use as a reinforcement scrim in the PPG PITT-CHAR NX and PPG PITT-CHAR XP epoxy intumescent passive fire protection systems
Characteristics
- Appearance; black woven mesh (8 x 4 Leno weave)
- High temperature resistance, suitable for hydrocarbon pool and jet-fire protection
- Simple to cut and apply into wet film of coating; no welded pins or mechanical fixings required
- High purity carbon fiber mesh; carbon content is greater than 99%
- Excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents
- To be installed strictly in accordance with PPG PITT-CHAR Application Guidelines and fire certification requirements
